Olivier Boehme

Olivier Boehme (°1974) is Senior Science Administrator at the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). He studied history at the universities of Antwerp and Leuven. He worked as a researcher at the University of Leuven and the National Bank of Belgium and obtained his  PhD in History at the University of Antwerp in 2007 on a thesis about economic nationalism in Flanders during the Interbellum. He published several monographs and articles, mainly about political and economic  history of the 20th century. Between his PhD and his position at FWO, he was research coordinator at the Artesis University College of the Antwerp University Association. The most important task there was the adaptation of the more application oriented higher education to the academic requirements of the Bologna Treaty.  At FWO he is responsible for such issues as European cooperation in research, resarch integrity and research careers.
