The theme “Unity in Diversity” says it all. Although PhD candidates may radically differ in their specialization, they all share the need to communicate their findings to a larger audience, and perhaps even persuade them. At the very minimum, they are all united in that they need to be able to present and defend their dissertation. To do so, good use of rhetoric is key.
In our interactive workshop we will let you perform in short debating exercises, where we, together with the audience, will give tips and tricks to improve your performance. The goal of the workshop is to let you use these skills to your benefit, both in your written and vocal performance.
