Dr. Maarten Derksen

Dr. Maarten Derksen is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences at the University of Groningen, where he teaches Theory & History of Psychology. He has written about the relation between psychology and common sense, about the history of clinical psychology, and about evolutionary theories of human nature and culture. Lately his research has focused on psychological technology. His book about this subject, titled ‘Tact and Technology: histories of human engineering’, will be published by Cambridge University Press in 2017.
